Community Paramedics Work with Interpreters to Ensure Language Access

The Minnesota Department of Health has identified a continued shortage of primary and related health care providers. It has highlighted Community Paramedicine as one of several emerging professions that are key to improving team-based models of health care access, delivery, and outcomes.

Community Paramedics (CP) provide care along a spectrum of services including health assessments, chronic disease monitoring and education, medication management, immunizations and vaccinations, laboratory specimen collection, hospital discharge follow–up care and minor medical procedures. Our professional interpreters work with Health Partners Community Paramedics and provide culturally competent language support during in-home healthcare visits.
