Language Interpreters and Translators Benefit from Training and Resources

Interpreting is much more than the simple exchange of words.  Highly skilled interpreters must understand the communicative process, the intent of a language interaction and possess cultural self-awareness. The understanding of a client’s culture can greatly improve a variety of interpreting experiences. As the demand for language services grows, these skill sets continue to be crucial to providing effective language support.

Many of our medical and social service clients require interpreters to have a minimum of 40 hours of professional training in certification programs such as The Community InterpreterBridging the Gap, and Century College.

We are committed to developing and supporting language service professionals at all stages of their careers. Learn more about the industry resources available to new and current interpreters and translators on our Careers page.
