Interpreters Partner with Federal, State and Local Officials
We were delighted to participate in a community meeting as a part of U.S. Department of Education (ED) Secretary Miguel Cardona’s “Back to School Bus Tour 2023: Raise the Bar” event. The week-long tour highlighted student support, achievements and post-COVID learning recovery throughout the Midwest.
We joined ED Special Assistant Cecily Darden, St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS) leaders and families at Benjamin E. Mays IB World School. At the event, we provided language support for families who participate in home visits as part of the SPPS Early Childhood Birth-3 Special Education (ECSE) services. Our interpreters work with teachers and specialists in creating and implementing a ECSE care and service plan that respects the home culture and language of the families they serve.
