Interpreters and Translators Provide Language Access and Accuracy

The recent, well-publicized reports of Venezuelan migrants being transported from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard detail that local officials had no advance notice. The community responded quickly with food, clothing and shelter but were at a disadvantage without easy access to language services.  Officials called in local high school Spanish students to interpret and translate in difficult circumstances.

The language access industry continues to advocate for readily accessible, professional interpreters and translators with cross-cultural and trauma-informed experience.   Interpreters must accurately convey information from a source language to a target language, a skill that requires extensive training and practice beyond bilingual skills.

Our language services team has seen this first-hand, as this past year our interpreters worked alongside state and local partners to welcome and resettle an estimated 1400 Afghan evacuees to Minnesota.

The demand for professional interpreting and translating continues to grow in schools, health care, legal systems, and private and public industries.  We stand ready to assist our clients in meeting their language access needs. Learn more about the services we offer.
